Mr. Randal P. Wolfinger
Dear Students,
Welcome to a brand new school year! My name is Mr. Wolfinger, and I’m excited to begin my 20th year in education—my 12th here at Orr Academy High School. It’s an honor to have the opportunity to work with you as we begin an exciting journey of learning, reflection, and growth.
This year, I’ll be teaching World Studies and AP U.S. History. World Studies invites us to explore the rich tapestry of global history—how civilizations rose, interacted, clashed, and connected across time. Through engaging lessons, spirited discussions, and dynamic projects, we’ll uncover the forces that shaped our shared human experience.
In AP U.S. History, we’ll take a deep and critical dive into the foundations and transformations of the United States. Together, we’ll develop college-level analytical skills, interpret primary sources, and challenge ourselves to understand the complexities of our nation's past and how they connect to our present.
As your teacher, I’m here to support you not only in your academic journey, but also as individuals navigating life both in and out of the classroom. I believe in creating a safe, respectful, and welcoming space where you feel seen, heard, and valued. If you're ever feeling overwhelmed, uncertain, or simply need someone to talk to, please know that I’m here for you. We’ll grow together this year—not just as learners, but as people.
I look forward to getting to know each of you and to building a classroom community where learning is meaningful, inclusive, and empowering. Let’s make this year one we’ll always remember—for our growth, our effort, and the stories we create together.
Here’s to a fantastic year ahead!
Warm regards,
